There are plenty of ways to explore Fuerteventura's mishmash of pretty landscapes. But, if you want one that adds a touch of excitement to your outing, you really can't go wrong with a family-friendly buggy safari. The vehicles used on this tour have room for three or four people, and you'll get behind the controls and follow a guide around the island's dirt roads and countryside lanes. During the two-hour tour, you'll get a good look at the 50,000-year-old Bayuyo Volcano as well as the north's villages and countryside.

You have to be at least 20 years old to drive the buggy, and must have held a full drivers license for at least two years
Children aged six and over can take part on the tour
Driving time can be shared between all drivers
Please make sure you wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty, the drive is very dusty
