Your day begins with a boat cruise around Kekova Island and its surrounding bays, where the water shifts from deep sapphire to crystal turquoise. The highlight is gliding past the Sunken City, a protected archaeological shoreline where submerged foundations and stone steps are visible beneath the surface from the boat. Relax on deck, take photos, enjoy swimming and a freshly served lunch on board while the coastline of ancient Lycia drifts by.
After the cruise, continue inland to St. Nicholas Church in Demre—built above the burial place of Saint Nicholas, the historical figure who inspired the Santa Claus legend. Today, it’s a museum-like site known for its atmospheric Byzantine setting and surviving fresco/mosaic details.
To finish the day, you’ll visit Limyra Ancient City, a lesser-visited gem of Lycia. Limyra is especially known for its hundreds of rock-cut tombs and its powerful “lost city” atmosphere.
