The tour started at 3pm so we had a nice relaxed start. The coach journey to Fadiouth took 40 minutes & we got to see the Senegal countryside & rural life. The stop at the women's cooperative was good to support local people & there was no pressure to buy anything. Our local guide at Fadiouth was charming & interesting. We saw daily life on the island. The canoe ride back across the river was peaceful & a good end to the trip. Overall I would recommend this half-day trip.

Not leaving on time again

Very pushy sales during the tour, intimidating when saying I don’t want to buy products. Guilt tripping by saying they only get the money we give and don’t get enough custom to work every day - begging really. Insisted on tipping but in a furtive and underhand way, hidden away from others (cemetery)rather than openly. Then the canoe guide insisted on another tip! We have found this to be the case in all the excursions - delta saloum, shell island and bandia safari. A money grab!

A fabulous afternoon trip. Didn't quite know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The guide around seashell Island was fantastic, his name was Mathew a very nice man and so knowledgeable. The boat trip through the mangrove was a little unnerving but fun.
