Take a trip to Akumal Monkey Sanctuary for a family-friendly guided tour. Meet the animals that call this place home – including over 20 different species – and hear about how they were rescued. You'll see colourful macaws, friendly snakes and playful monkeys, as well as learn about their natural behaviours from a knowledgeable guide. Plus, you'll find out about the sanctuary's conservation efforts – it's a great way for kids to understand why supporting these animals is so important. There are some exciting extras you can add to this tour for an extra fee too, like a swim in a cenote or snorkelling with tuirtles. Just a heads-up, transport isn't included in this tour.

We had an amazing experience, staff were all fab. Tje only disappointment was the wait for transport back to our resort, was about 1.5 hours and we altered all tired from the snorkeling and walking round the sanctuary but I would definitely recommend

Effettivamente le tartarughe e le scimmie sono state viste e di base quello che c’era nel programma è stato fatto. La cosa che non mi è piaciuto è che l’organizzazione è caotica. Mi spiego meglio, per la nuotata con le tartarughe abbiamo dovuto noi andare a chiedere dove potevano cambiarci e cosa dovevamo prendere e la risposta è stata vaga. POSITIV: Die Professionalität und Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter, der Zustand der Tiere NEGATIV: Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolute Abzocke. Als verantwortungsvolles Unternehmen würde ich erwarten, dass sie Touristen darauf hinweisen. Man bucht das Erlebnis, um am Ende zu erfahren, dass für digitale, unbearbeitete Bilder 70 Euro zusätzlich zu zahlen sind. Bitte prüfen Sie auf Kabel eins die Sendung Achtung Abzocke. Im Nachhinein habe ich erfahren, dass dies auch dort aufgedeckt wurde.

Le moins c’est qu’ils sont venus nous chercher une heure plus tard que prévu. Pour le reste c’est une expérience unique avec un super guide Eimos passionné. Heureusement qu’il existe des endroits comme ça et avec des gens qui ont un grand cœur pour les animaux.
