Self-guided sensory experience with Mother Water and Mamma Caura

Accessibility:

• Due to the natural characteristics of the route, the activity may not be suitable for people with reduced mobility, balance difficulties or an inability to walk independently

Not allowed:

• The use of soap, shampoo, shower gel, oils, creams or any other cleansing products is not permitted within the experience area or at the seawater shower

Know in advance:

• The experience lasts approximately 60 minutes and takes place in a dedicated natural area within the Saline Culcasi salt pans
• After a brief introduction by the staff, participants continue along the route independently, following the instructions provided, the on-site signs and the area regulations
• The activity includes walking barefoot on salt crystals, entering a pool of acqua madre (highly concentrated salt-pan water) approximately 20 cm deep, and coming into contact with mamma caura, the natural sediment found in the salt pans.
• Surfaces may be uneven, wet or slippery. Participants must move carefully throughout the experience
• At the end of the experience, a seawater rinse shower is available
• The experience is not recommended for people with open wounds, skin irritations or known allergies to salt
• Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult throughout the experience
• The experience is intended solely for recreational, cultural and nature-based purposes. It is not a medical, therapeutic, beauty, cosmetic or spa treatment

Remember to bring:

• Participants must bring a swimsuit, towel and flip-flops or sandals. During the warmer months, drinking water, sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses are also recommended
