Enjoy a fun excursion to Mount Etna, the highest volcano in Europe and a UNESCO site since 2013. Leave Taormina with your tour leader on board a comfortable coach and reach the Etna station located at about 1.900 meters. After a technical stop, you'll ascend to the authorised crater areas at approximately 2,900 meters alongside licensed guides from the Italian Alpine Club (CAI), who will lead you on a soft trek.
Weather permitting, you'll stop in a designated safety zone to observe the activity of the summit craters. Warm clothing and suitable shoes are recommended and can be rented on site. Access to Etna's authorised crater areas is always accompanied by guides from the CAI, who are responsible for visitors' safety and follow the decisions of the relevant authorities in response to changes in volcanic activity and permitted altitude.
