Experience Holland’s rich culture through its picturesque countryside. Embark on this six and a half hour tour and discover the charming towns of Zaanse Schans, Edam, Volendam, and Marken.

Your bus will pick you up near the Central Station in Amsterdam. Your first stop is Zaanse Schans. Enjoy the view of the iconic Dutch windmills that are still in use today and stroll around this open-air museum that houses a collection of working windmills, wooden houses and barns that date back to the 18th and 19th Centuries. Afterward, drive to the Waterland area, to your next destinations.

In Edam, walk through historic sites like the square where the famous Cheese Market once took place. Then at Volendam, visit a local cheese producer, learn about Gouda and Edam cheeses production. At the clog factory, discover the secrets of this typical Dutch shoe. End your tour at Marken and travel back in time to the 17th century as you walk by cozy fishermen houses, the fishing harbor, and the protestant church.

Your leader Rodrigo was accommodating and personable- he gave interesting information and chatted with each guest. A great tour leader. It was a good day- we are not shoppers, so the many shopping opportunities were wasted on us.

Ilya was full of interesting information he was the perfect guide. He was so funny and gave us a lot of useful history. This was a great mix of things to see whilst in Amsterdam that would otherwise be missed (this was my 3rd time and I had never seen these places) I think of the tour the clog and cheese factory were the best part. I can't believe how much cheese they had us taste!

Sehr malerische Orte, leider zu wenig Zeit, gemütlich durchzuflanieren, Besonders Mittagspause in Volendam war zu kurz. Reichte nucht, um sitzend etwas zu bestellen und zu essen. Schade. Wir mussten durchhetzen. Auch in Zansee Schans war die Rast zu kurz. Um aufs WC zu gehen, musste mal 20 Min anstehen. Da blieben knappe 30 min für den Rest.

Our guide Eduardo, was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. He was very knowledgeable, as you would expect, but he brought his own personality and unique style as well. Despite the wet and windy weather, we enjoyed the day.
