Get ready for a day packed with ancient wonders on this history-drenched full-day guided tour. You’ll visit some of Egypt’s most iconic landmarks, including the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and the treasure-filled Egyptian Museum.

After an early start, you’ll arrive in Giza, home to one of Egypt’s seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites. With your expert local guide, you’ll learn about the Great Pyramid of Giza, built for the Pharaoh Cheops, followed by the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. Then, stop by the Great Sphinx, carved directly from the bedrock and sitting proudly on the Giza Plateau.

After a tasty lunch, you’ll head into central Cairo to visit the world-renowned Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. Its exceptional treasures include the mummies and the gilded mask of Yuya and Thuya - found in the Valley of the Kings and remarkable for their extraordinary preservation and lifelike features. The museum is home to the largest collection of pharaonic artefacts. It’s absolutely packed with ancient treasures – think glittering jewellery, ancient mummies, and statues that have stood the test of time. You’ll have plenty of time to wander around and soak it all in.

I felt the overall the trip was really well organised and it had a lot of things to do there for the time that was allocated. However I do feel that if more time was spent at the museum and less time was spent at a factory and the papyrus it would give more value. I do feel that there were times where we were looking at selling and the commission as opposed to the experience.

Stod och tittade på när vi skulle lägga dricks till han, för att se vad vi gav. Höll ALDRIG tiden och bad inte om ursäkt när han var sen. Oerhört missnöjd då jag tidigare har varit i Cairo och haft fantastiska upplevelser, men denna guiden ska inte guida turister! Önskar pengar tilbaka som kompensation för urusel guide.

Please note that you’ll be able to access the pyramid area, but the entrance fees to go inside the pyramids, Cheops, Mykerinos, and Kefren, are not included. Tickets are limited, need to be bought onside and can’t be guaranteed. If you're planning to go inside, the entrance fee for the Great Pyramid of Cheops is around EGP 1500 for adults and EGP 750 for children under 12. For Mykerinos or Kefren, it’s about EGP 280 for adults and EGP 140 for kids under 12. Just so you know, payment is by credit card only.

Know in advance:

Update (valid starting 20 October 2025): The Hall of Tutankhamun at the Egyptian Museum (including the Golden Mask and Golden Sarcophagus) will be closed as the collection is being transferred to the new Grand Egyptian Museum. The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, however, remains rich with exceptional treasures, including the mummies and the gilded mummy mask of Yuya and Thuya
The shared tour option is only available on selected dates, while the private tour runs daily. Private tours for only one person have a minimum age of at least 12 years old. The six-person private group can include up to 15 participants.
You may wish to arrange a take-away breakfast and late dinner with your hotel before the tour.
Pick up starts after midnight and the journey to Cairo takes around six or seven hours
At the museum, feel free to take photos, but please avoid using flash.
Infants aged 0–1 can join for free
A vegetarian meal option is available on site
Tour duration and pickup times might vary depending on operational conditions and where your hotel is located
