Imagine having the power to control life and death - what would you choose to do? This summer, prepare for the world premiere of the much-anticipated musical adaptation of 'Death Note', set to take centre stage at the Barbican. With a limited run of 50 performances from late July to mid-September, this is an event not to be missed.

'Death Note' has been a global sensation for nearly two decades, with its legendary manga series selling over 30 million copies worldwide. The story has captivated audiences across Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, with multiple sell-out seasons of the musical. Now, it's London's turn to experience this phenomenon, reimagined for the local stage in close collaboration with HoriPro, the original Japanese producers.

The new musical boasts an electrifying score by Tony, Grammy and Emmy nominee Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Jack Murphy and a book by Ivan Menchell. It tells the gripping tale of brilliant student Light Yagami who stumbles upon a notebook with the power to determine life and death. His mission to reshape society quickly spirals out of control, attracting the attention of the elusive and ruthless detective L. What starts as a quest for justice soon descends into obsession, pushing both Light and L to confront the boundaries of morality itself. This summer, one name can change the world - don’t miss 'Death Note - The Musical'.
