Cruzeiro de catamarã Go Catalina

The ‘cruise on a catamaran’ to the island was actually a mono hull fast high powered ride. This was thrilling and left the back bruised. It wasn’t bad it just wasn’t what we expected; in general the tour was rushed and felt a bit haphazard. There’s a push to sell you ‘enhanced’ food and drinks at every opportunity although not super pushy. Island itself was beautiful, just not a relaxing day out, expect to Les e a tip.

Took 2 and a half hours by coach to get to the boat but once there you couldn’t fault it, snorkelling was great, the sand was so hot. Had great food , dancing on the boat, staff where fab

The island was beautiful. Pushy photographers trying to get you to have photographs and ‘lunch’ served at 16:30 was not a highlight. You have 1/4 of a sandwich given to you at noon and a ‘cake’ the size of a 50p piece. Bring some snacks with you or you will be starving. The food was good but waiting for lunch until 16:30 was torture.

When coach finally arrived (10 minutes late!) guide said Samo a Island so was confused as I was supposed to be going to Catalina Island, anyway turns out after getting on coach I was going to be transferred to another coach at another meeting point. Made a friend on the trip so we hang out together as she was also on her own. Danny our guide was very very funny, the whole team took good care of me (being of a certain age). We stopped at couple places, have bathroom break (there was also toilet on board if I remember, anyway stopped at a gift shop first then on boat, the whole ,e crew very good and entertaining, stopped for snorkel stop then later Catalina Island, open bar, snacks provided. Later back at port lunch provided excellent.

Amazing day! Snorkelling spot was incredible. Catamaran was amazing. Staff were very friendly. Island was very picturesque. The buffet lunch was very tasty!
