Having left the access highway in the area of WĂŒrzburg, you'll follow the Romantic Road (country roads) to this unique mediaeval town. On a walking tour through the picturesque alleyways, you'll come to see the old frameworked houses and the "Plönlein", the landmark of Rothenburg. Then you'll pass over cobblestoned streets alongside the beautifully decorated townhouses of the old centre, along the Herren-Alley to the mighty city gates and alongside the accessible city wall.
