The land, the cultivation of forage, the careful treatment of the livestock and an ancestral manufacturing process are some of the secrets behind Mahón-Menorca, a cheese with an intense flavor and its own personality. It's a way of life that you'll get to know through a farming family.
The visit includes a presentation in the educational room where posters with information about the cheese-making process from its origins. You'll also get to see the animals around the farm, especially cows, Minorcan breed horses, pigs, as well as chickens and sheep.
There's a demonstration of how artisan Mahón-Menorca cheese is made and you can have the opportunity to participate in an informative workshop. There's also a tasting of local products on the porch of the house, you'll taste farm cheeses, cured meats, breadsticks, a dessert and wine.
