If you're visiting Montserrat Monastery, then won't want to miss out on bagging extra panoramic views over the Pyrenees from even higher up. This ticket for the Montserrat Sant Joan funicular will allow you to travel to 1,000m above sea level, from where you can enjoy open-ended vistas and hiking trails if you fancy.
Once you've already reached Montserrat Monastery, the Sant Joan funicular will take you even higher to see everything from above and away from the crowds. Gaze out over Catalonia, the Pyrenees and beyond, but to get there you'll travel a dizzying 503 metres on a 65% gradient in seven minutes on the funicular.
At the top, you'll find the Nature Centre where you can read about the flora and fauna of the region, and if you're ready for more adventure, there are different hiking trails of varying difficulty and length from here.
