This trip doubles up on historic Slovenian gems. Visit Postojna Caves to explore one of the biggest and most beautiful cave systems in the world, before heading off to hear of knights and chivalry at Predjama Castle – an impressive medieval fortress carved into a 123m-high cliff.

First, we'll head to the Postojna Caves, one of the longest cave systems in Europe. But you won't just be exploring on foot – you'll climb aboard the world's first cave railway to marvel at thousands of stalagmites and stalactites, see the fairytale dance hall adorned with magnificent Murano-glass chandeliers and discover over 2 million years of history.

Then, it's on to the nearby Predjama Castle, an almost impregnable 13th Century fortress, hewn from a 123m-high cliff face. You'll get an insight into medieval life with a walk through the armoury, chapel, kitchen and torture chamber, and learn the legend of Erazem Predjamski – Slovenia's answer to Robin Hood. It's a day out of epic proportions.

The groups in the caves were far to big and the guide never waited for people to catch up so most of the commentary wasn’t heard.Also the rep only the coach said there wasn’t much to see in the castle and only gave us 1hour there which could have been longer no time was given to get something to eat or drink,but overall enjoyed both places

The whole experience was amazing

The cave tour is a great experience. You get a train ride down into the cave, and then spend a decent amount of time walking through. The castle is very photogenic on the outside, however inside there isn’t too much going on, and it doesn’t take long to have a look around. Contrary to what is said on the TUI App, admission is included as you would expect for the price.

Time at castle was limited and felt a little rushed due to travel time at end of trip probably need to extend the day to give time to explore in more relaxed way.
