Start your day out at 8.00 AM and meet your guide. Leave for an adventurous tour in the Al Hajar Mountains area. Stop in Al Hamra, an old village located in a paradisiac oasis. Stroll through the grooves and ancient mud houses, that are surrounded by greeneries palm trees.
Then, move to Misfat Al Abriyeen, a unique village located 1,000 m above sea level on the mountain foothills surrounding the center of Al Hamra. Explore the old village on your own, and see its falaj system for water irrigation. Have a stop in one of the new modern coffe shops just opened in the historical houses. Continue your tour and reach the Al Hoota Cave, located at the foot of Jebel Shams, Oman’s highest mountain. It is the first and only show cave in the Arabian Peninsula, estimated to be over 2 million years old and with a total length of around 4.5 kilometers. Admire all the stalagmites, stalactites, and the magnificent lion of Al Hoota Cave, formed by mineral deposits as water drips into or moves through the cave system. Once re-emerged from this magical world, you will start your journey back to Muscat.
