When entering the Natural Park of Mavrovo, you'll be dropped off in the most iconic village of North Macedonia, which is called Galicnik. The village of Galicnik is famous for the yearly traditional Macedonian wedding, where every single person on earth is welcome to enjoy Macedonian hospitality. From here, after a small break, the hike will start through grasslands covering plateaus and mountain ridges around Mali Sar. During the summer the area is covered in countless mountain flowers.
