Our driver, Vinko, arrived on time and was always on time to collect us from the 2 stops. He gave us a little bit of information as we were driving. Mostar was fabulous and well worth a visit but we only had 3 hours free time which wasn’t enough. We had 75 minutes at the waterfalls but we didn’t enjoy visiting them so wish we’d skipped those and spent longer in Mostar. Being in a private car, we got through border control very fast.

Having our own private car was worth paying extra. It was a reasonable start time with pick up at 8 am from our hotel and returning back around 6:30 pm. We were able to have the option of choosing the coastal scenic route or inland route. Our guide was knowledgeable and told what to do and flexible on meeting times. It was > 42 C in Mostar, unbearably hot! So we didn’t mess around and stayed out of the heat when practical. The Kravice waterfalls was extremely busy and hot. Take water shoes!

The driver guide was great: knowledgeable, friendly, entertaining, helpful and punctual. The waterfalls were one of my highlights of our entire week away. So beautiful and perfect for a cold water swim (it had rained heavily the night before so the currents were fairly strong so I'd only recommend for confident swimmers though there was a lifeguard present and the majority of the time the flow is much less fast). Mostar was interesting with great tourist shopping - much cheaper than Croatia
