After meeting the local family and having your first drink together, you'll begin to help prepare the meal, observe, take notes to write down all the recipes and take photos with your new friends. Just enjoy!

All local families speak at least some basic English, and you'll have the chance to chat and learn about their daily life. Talk with the hosts about anything you'd like to know, and share some things about yourself, your home country, and your culture too!

Know in advance:

On the terrace, you'll find many shoes. It is customary to take off your shoes before entering a house. Kindly adapt your clothes to the local culture: in bigger cities, the culture is different than in the countryside, but too much skin is not appreciated anywhere
Don't forget to ask for permission when you want to take pictures of the local family (and/or post them on social media). Most of the time everyone is fine with it
After booking, you'll receive an additional confirmation email from the local provider with the meeting point address
Please inform the local operator of any food allergies or intolerances at checkout
There is a minimum of 2 adults per booking
