Exploring Mexico just got a whole lot easier. On this full day adventure, you'll tick off no less than four different activities. Start with a guided visit of the archaeological site of Tulum, then head to a cenote for a swim. Next, it's off to Akumal for a spot of snorkelling. Round off your day with lunch at a beach club. Carmen, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘The most photographed structure in the archaeological site is the Castillo, which is perched on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The Castillo might be the most famous, but there are plenty of other ancient Mayan ruins to explore, such as the Temple of the Descending God and the Temple of the Frescoes.'

The marvels of the Mayan culture will be revealed on your guided tour around Tulum. You'll learn about it's past as a walled city, and its former role as a trading hub. After the tour you'll have free time to explore at your leisure. Next, prepare to be dazzled by colours at an ancient Mayan cenote, a natural cave with a freshwater pool fed by underground water sources and considered sacred by the Mayans.

After a cooling swim, we'll head for the picturesque seaside community of Akumal, known for its laid-back atmosphere, natural beauty, and abundant marine life. With its intriguing underwater world, Akumal offers one of the best snorkelling experiences in the Riviera Maya. Encounter an array of tropical fish, corals, and perhaps even sea turtles. To complete your day, unwind and indulge in a tasty meal at a nearby beach club.

- 9:00am – arrive at the archaeological zone of Tulum

- 9:15am – guided visit to Tulum

- 10:00am – free time to explore the archaeological site

- 10:45am – depart for the cenote

- 11:10am – arrive at the cenote and explore

- 12:00pm – depart for Akumal

- 12:30pm – arrive in Akumal for a snorkelling activity

- 1:30pm – depart for the beach club

- 2:00pm – arrive at the beach club and have lunch

- 3:30pm – transfer back to your hotel

Tulum was lovely but very rushed. The turtles were way too busy, not nice, far too many people. Photos too expensive at cenote

Our guide, Erika, was excellent & knowledgeable and our driver Ricky very helpfull throughout the day and was providing us with bottles of water. As a group we saw 5 Turtles and a Stingray during the Snorkeling activity. The only downside of the tour was that you could not take your own pictures at the Cenote. The pictures were taken by staff at the location and they wanted to charge a hefty 3000 Mexican Peso's (approximately £127) for downloading about 14 or so pictures.

Einsprachig gebucht und wurde versprochen man wird informiert wenn es nicht so ist, stimmt nicht! Erst im Bus haben wir davon erfahren, der Guide hatte es wohl eilig und ist durch Tulum gesprintet ohne wirklichen Inhalt mit drei Stops welcher von den Spachen her abwich. Auch die Koordinierten Abläufe waren nicht wirklich zu erkennen wir mussten Ihn mehrfach darauf hinweisen das wir nicht vollständig sind oder noch welche nicht so schnell sind. Alles in Allen sein Geld nicht wert!
