Beat the heat with a visit to the cool Caves of Can Marça. Make your own way to Ibiza's northern shores to admire wow-factor panoramas over the coast before descending into this tangle of ancient underground passages for a guided tour and an impressive music and light show.

Make your own way to the caves and you'll discover what was once the hideaway of pirates and smugglers. The dramatic location of the cave was more recently used as the backdrop for the 1958 film, South Pacific – and there's certainly a touch of Hollywood glamour to the views. Descend the cliff-clinging staircase and you'll take in grandstand panoramas over Puerto San Miguel and Ibiza's northern coast.

Enter the caves and you'll take a guided tour of this prehistoric cavern before an impressive music and light show. Then back above ground, you can round things off at the clifftop bar where you can drink in more of that spectacular scenery.

The caves were okay, but only okay! If you’ve never been in caves before, then go and enjoy but they aren’t spectacular/anything special. The tour is about 30mins long and the tour guide was good. They’ve tried to make it for the tourists by demonstrating what the waterfall would have looked and sounded like with a light show but it was a bit naff. We stayed in Portinatx and there was no public transport available so paid €28 euro each way to visit -ouch.

Shame there wasn't a transfer to the caves, however if you can walk up and down many stairs, it's a great trip. The views are spectacular, the guide we had was amazing, my young boys enjoyed exploring the caves and we got a photo as well. Worth a visit, wasn't too long either just enough for two Asd/adhd children.

The guide was engaging and knowledgeable. She also presented the information in 2 languages for the tourists. The man serving in the cafe was not quite as friendly

It was a lovely experience, but as we are tourists we found getting a taxi from there was really hard l! We waited nearly 2 hours & on a hot day & with a young child wasn’t ideal, perhaps you could have a couple of taxi numbers on show or prehaps the staff could call if customer needs one, they didn’t do it for us, perhaps if they did we wouldn’t have the long wait!

Very good value, you do need to make your own way to the caves from our hotel it was only possible to get a taxi which was €32 each way, so over all it cost €95 the tour was nice and took around 40 mins children enjoyed and the views before hand over a little port was beautiful. They take a lovely photo at the start and sell to you at the end which was €7 each or €10 for both. Has toilets a little cafe and gift shop.
