You'll feel like you're a million miles away from the beaches, as you head inland and discover the secrets of Almeria. Drive past rolling hills covered with vineyards to Cortijo el Cura and through the Sierra de Gádor to a typical village for a tapa tasting.

At Cortijo el Cura – the province's first organic winery – the owner will proudly tell you about its eco wines, which are made using completely organic products and processes. Wander around the peaceful orchards and take a peek in the museum before tasting some of the wines and other local products.

This scenic tour then continues through the Sierra de Gádor – a stunning backdrop for photos. You'll also learn all about little Spanish dishes known as tapas and enjoy a taste first-hand when you call in at a local village.

We enjoyed the winery .. the Tapas wasn’t quite what we were expecting.. and a little disappointing due 2 dishes being fish and one pork .. We were thinking cheese and Ham .. Olives etc

The trip was not as described. Yes, we went to the bodega, It was a real experience to visit and the owner was absolutely brilliant showing is around their paradise. The wine tAsting was excellent with bread olives picked from the olive farm and various other farmed products. Instead of visiting pottery demos in a local village we were transported to Almeria in the middle of the city centre for a drink and tapa. The bar was dirty the tapa was bread topped with ham ! A waste of an afternoon
