After driving to the heart of Guanacaste, you'll be given a safety briefing before donning a helmet and life vest. You'll then raft through the rainforest, so keep an eye out for wildlife such as iguanas, monkeys and tropical birds. Costa Rica is rated as one of the best spots in the world for whitewater rafting, and there's a reason why – category 3 and 4 rapids, set against a lush tropical backdrop.
Your world-champion guide will steer you through the rapids and over the falls as you navigate the 13km route. After you've dried off, you'll end the tour with a spot of lunch.
