Noel, en af vores dygtige lokale guider, fortæller: "Berat er delt i to dele af floden Osum, og i århundreder var kvarteret Mangalem på den nordlige bred det osmanniske eller muslimske kvarter, mens kristne boede i Gorica på den modsatte, sydlige bred.Vi rejser ind i det centrale Albanien, og du ankommer til det middelalderlige Berat - en smeltedigel af kulturer og religioner. Følg din guide på en rundvisning i slotskvarteret, der omslutter huse, museer, minareter og kirker, der pryder bybilledet. Efter al den udforskning har du sikkert fået en vis tørst, så vi slutter af på en lokal vingård for at få en smagsprøve på typiske Berati-vine, alle ledsaget af deres perfekte snack.
